"The morn was up, the blast blew loud
When now, their halls, the Asi croud
Asiniæ too the council seek
Ever privileged to speak
Death of Balder was the theme
His thought by day, by night his dream
"Ghastly visions round him pressed
And scar’d his midnight hours of rest
The giants croud each sacred fane
Where Goddesses presageful reign
To know the impending evil near
Threat’ned by the nightly fear
"The sacred oracles declare
Balder must for death prepare
Asi sad the tidings hear
Frigga drops the impassion’d tear"
I was always intrigued by this group's choice of album covers, it isn't every day that you see high quality space photos in this genre despite the rise of "cosmic" black metal. But the music blew me away, this sounds like Austere took the atmospheric spacey route. (I will assume it's a coincidence that both bands are Australian) porcelainheart-
Shivery and cold, yet with a subtle feeling of warmth enfolding each track. It's instantly engaging, with a great message overall and a cinematic story behind "Neswa-Pawuk". It's emotional without losing the black metal spirit. Umbra Cornuta
A powerful metal opus, blending soaring vocals, intricate melodies, and thunderous riffs for an epic listening experience. Bandcamp New & Notable Jun 26, 2023
This is my favorite metal album of all time. The only bad thing is that the vocals are somewhat buried in the mix. Otherwise, the record perfectly blends a mix of metal genres with excellent songcraft. A record you'll listen to again and again. The Real Nick House
